Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Wispr Back macOS application and the composer1.com website, operated by Bishal Banerjee. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
The service
Wispr Back turns text you select on your Mac into a spoken summary using third-party AI models. A paid subscription is required for use; the app includes a small built-in demo so you can hear it before subscribing.
Your account
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account. Team subscriptions cover the number of seats purchased; sharing one seat across multiple people isn’t allowed.
Subscriptions and billing
Purchases are processed by Paddle as merchant of record; their checkout terms apply to the transaction. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Refund requests are handled per Paddle’s policy — write to us and we’ll help.
Fair use
Every summary costs real compute. Subscriptions include generous personal use; we may apply fair-use limits or throttling to protect the service from abuse (e.g. automated or scripted request loops). We’ll always tell you if you hit a limit.
Acceptable use
- Don’t attempt to extract our provider credentials or bypass entitlement checks.
- Don’t use the service to process content you have no right to process.
- Don’t resell or proxy the service without an agreement with us.
AI output
Summaries are generated by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete, or miss nuance. They are a listening aid, not a source of record — verify anything that matters before acting on it.
The app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app while subscribed. The source code is available under its open-source license on GitHub; these terms govern the hosted service (accounts, generation, updates), not the code.
Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be reliable but provide it “as is”, without warranty. Underlying model providers may change; voices and models may be swapped for equivalents. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
